TLC

About two years ago my church asked me to take a picture of their building (see previous post from  two years ago for the final image).  Last month one of our pastors had his 20^th anniversary.  The church asked me to turn this photograph into a painting and frame it for him.  So I worked my photoshopping magic and below is the image I came up with.  Enjoy!

South Dakota

A few weeks back I took a break from the hustle and bustle of life and went to South Dakota for a weekend of nothing but photography.  It was on awesome weekend for the weather was perfect and the light was spectacular.  The three main places I concentrated an were the ghost town of Owanka,  Spearfish Canyon and the Badlands.  Below are a few of the images I took that weekend.   

  

 

 

 

  

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

  

 

Bridge Block Party, North Omaha Part 2

 

Bridge Block Party, North Omaha

Tonight my church helped out at Bridge Church's block party in North Omaha.  While my wife and kid ran a ring tossing booth I got to take pictures documenting the event.  All night long I was getting solid images but I was not getting the money shot I was looking for.  When the block party was ending I noticed a group of guys shooting hoops and decided to get some action shots before I through in the towel, I am glad I did.  The moment these guys saw me with the camera they start trying some really awesome shots.  This image is my favorite of the series.

Cemetery

Last week a friend from work and I went out over lunch to kick back and take some pictures at a local cemetery.  About 99% of the photography I have been doing lately has been work related, so it was nice to get out and take shots just for the fun of it.  I especially like the this shot because of how the sun hits the figures face at just the right angle to illuminate her profile.

Sensor

I am finding that I have to constantly clean my sensor (especially with some of the places my work sends me to).  My camera is really in need of cleaning at the current moment.  The problem is that I do not want to get rid of a specific cluster of dust on the upper right hand of my sensor.  This is because the cluster of dust is smiling at me.

College World Series

  

Since the College World Series is taking over Omaha I decided to post a few of my TD Ameritrade Park images.  I have not been able to make it to a CWS game yet but I did attend a Creighton a month back.  It is a really nice stadium, however I will miss Rosenblatt.
